The traditional biodynamic calendar associates fruit, flower, leaf and root periods with crop groups. It also shows unfavorable periods, treated as pauses when planning by this tradition.
Local soil conditions, weather and season come first. The calendar can be an extra planning cue, but it cannot establish that soil is ready or guarantee yields.
Moon phase and day type are different information. Moonvine uses an independent calculation method based on biodynamic tradition; it is not the official Thun calendar and its period boundaries can differ.
Day types come from biodynamic tradition. They are not a plant-growth forecast or a yield guarantee.
