Moonvine

Delete your Moonvine community account

Remove the anonymous identity used for community voting and the votes associated with it.

Moonvine community accounts are anonymous Firebase identities. Community participation is enabled by default, so an identity is created automatically when community data first loads while online. It is not linked to your name or email address.

Delete your account in the app

  1. Keep the app installed and connect your device to the internet.
  2. Open Moonvine and go to Settings → Community → Delete community account.
  3. Review the confirmation and choose Delete community account. The app disables community voting, removes the votes associated with your current anonymous identity, verifies their removal and then deletes that Firebase identity.
  4. If deletion is interrupted, return to Settings while online and use the retry option.

Uninstalling Moonvine alone does not delete votes stored by the service.

What deletion changes

Request help with deletion

If you cannot use the in-app deletion control, Email a deletion request

You can also email colin.hanson.89@gmail.com with the subject “Moonvine community account deletion request.” Keep Moonvine installed while requesting help so any ownership checks available in the app remain accessible.

Do not send passwords, authentication tokens or other credentials. Because the account is anonymous, we cannot identify it from the sender’s email address alone and may need you to verify ownership. Support can advise you on the available steps if credentials have been lost, but deletion may not be possible when ownership cannot be established.
